Jesus Words of Wisdom

Matthew 11: 28-30 says, "Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said:

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me".

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

The sinner's prayer is a prayer a person prays to God when they understand that they are a sinner and in need of a Savior. Saying a sinner's prayer will not accomplish anything on its own. A sinner's prayer is only effective if it genuinely represents what a person knows, understands, and believes about their sinfulness and need for salvation. If you sincerely believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, you will be saved.

The sinner's prayer is simply a way of declaring to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ as your Savior. There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection that can save us. If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a sinner's prayer you can pray to God:

"God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in your Son Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection was provided for my forgiveness. I'm going to trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"

If you prayed that prayer and truley believed it in your heart, then you are saved. You should find a good church that teaches sound principles like the ones on this Web-site, and with caring people that can help you grow and mature to reach your full potential in Christ.

The Bible says in Luke 15: 1-32, "Angels rejoice in Heaven over one sinner who repents and comes home". Wecome Home into the Family of God, Minister Walter A Davis III
